Community Weaving America
May 2009
Happy Birthday, Oregon! Oregon's 150th birthday, the Sesquicentennial, is this year!
At OFSN, we believe bringing the Community Weaving America program home to Oregon is an awesome way to celebrate Oregon's pioneering and collaborative spirit!
The Community Weaving program invites people to connect with one another via an online resource directory of ** individual ** resources. People sign up as Good Neighbors and can share their interests, talents, equipment, and life experiences overcoming challenges, as they choose to with others. People can also search through the Resource Treasure Box, once registered and network with others as part of a social support network and safety net. Visionary and director, Cheryl Honey, passionately carries the hope that people will come to know their neighbors and help one another.
