Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Statement

Oregon Family Support Network’s culture models a commitment to inclusion through an intersectional lens, which comprehensively, includes race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, ability and disability, age, economic disparity, geographic location, and other factors that shape perspective and experience. We understand that achieving equity is a continuous process, and we work to maintain the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and accountability.

OFSN recognizes and acknowledges that negative impact that white supremacy and systemic racism has in our communities, on our families and within the systems that supports them. We are committed to dismantling systematic practices to work toward inclusion, equity, and diversity in Oregon. We recognize that we have a responsibility to condemn acts of racism, and discrimination.

We celebrate the unique diversity of Oregon communities by making a commitment to uphold:

We act to reach our goals through Action, Culture and Community

Action |We create and ensure policies, practices and programs that consider and seek to address societal inequities that disproportionately impact specific groups.

Culture |We strive towards equity and inclusive environments and practices as well as positive engagement within family serving systems by uniting and elevating a diverse collective of staff and family voices. We cultivate a staff that reflects the community we serve and an inclusive culture where multiple perspectives are valued.

Community |We create and ensure policies, practices and programs that consider and seek to address societal inequities that disproportionately impact specific groups.

Diversity

The full range of differences and similarities, visible and non-visible, that make each individual unique.

Equity

Inclusive treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement for all people, with the explicit intention of identifying and eliminating barriers to foster equitable and equal outcomes.

Inclusion

An environment that recognizes, values, and fully leverages different perspectives and backgrounds to drive results.

Each employee at OFSN has a responsibility to act in a manner that supports and advances our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. We expect all employees to adhere to this commitment and will not tolerate conduct that does not meet these standards.
