Children’s Mental Health Acceptance Day

This year, we are excited to announce the return of our annual Children’s Mental Health Acceptance Day event in May. However, this year we wanted to are happy to offer TWO events on TWO different days.

The theme of this year’s Children’s Mental Health Acceptance Day is Lighting the path to social justice for children and families. In light of this we wanted to make sure that families were able to gain insightful information and learn more about actionable steps they can take to advocate for their children on Parent Advocacy Day. We decided to hold a second event for children and families to attend a resource fair with more activities catered to engaging children on Family Fun Day and Mental Health Resource Fair day. The dates and times for these two events can be found below: 

Dates and Times

On Thursday, May 9th, we will be hosting Parent Advocacy day at the Family YMCA of Marion and Polk Counties, in the capitol room 3rd floor. Join us from 10:30am to 3pm. For more information please refer to the flyer.

On Saturday, May 11th, we will be hosting Family Fun Day and Mental Health Resource Fair day. This event will also be held in the capitol room of the Family YMCA of Marion and Polk Counties. Join us from 10am to 2pm for this event.

Lunches will be provided on both days, please register for the day(s) you want to attend. Please indicate how many people will be in your party so we can plan a lunch for everybody!
